Open for work

I`m Mariia Oliinyk. I`m a rheumatologist. I had to flee from Ukraine due to the war. I was working as an associate professor at the Department of Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at Kharkiv National Medical University. I have experience in clinical work for more than 20 years, 11 years – in research and 9 years – in medical education. I`m looking for a job in a research area. I can’t work as a doctor for a while because I need BIG registration for that. But it`s not a fast process, first of all, I’m learning Dutch. But I got used to working a lot and want to be useful in the area where I was working and I have experience.

I was doing research projects in the study of pathogenic peculiarities of the comorbid course of osteoarthritis and type 2 diabetes mellitus, later on in osteoarthritis and diabetes mellitus, looking for connections with bone metabolism disorders. Also, I participated in the investigation of features of mental health in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. I was interested in spondyloarthritis research, but we didn’t have any projects in this area. So I can participate in the study of these diseases, but I can adapt myself to the opportunities that open up. I try not to stand still, ready to study and do something new. I have a flexible approach to work and I like to work as part of a team.
